"Cheap" 7.62x39 AK 30 Round Mags
 

FYI, Cope's Distributing has just received ~16,000 AK mags, described as "rusty but functional" 30 round AK mags. They are checking follower function (making sure they move freely) before shipping. Some buyers have been told that they are Hungarian. I was told that my mags should ship in ~1-2 weeks.

Here's the good stuff: $5.50 per mag (yes, 5 and a half dollars), $8 flat rate shipping per 25 mags, there MAY be a 25 round per order limit, but YMMV.

So far, they've sold 9126 out of the 16K mags via pre-order, just over the past 7 days. If interested, call in your pre-order at 866-523-2673. These are NOT listed on their website. I don't have any financial interest in this feeding frenzy (I wish!), and am just spreading the word...

Still in stock as of a few minutes ago. The kind although exhausted lady said that they still have a load of mags left.

FYI a few online retailers still have new in the wrap bulgarian (might be hungarian) 30 round steel mags for 12.95 each. Aimsurplus... copes or maybe it was coles, cdnn as well, also had them.

I might get a dozen of these to try out. why not, lol.

Ya never know there may be some Russian slab sides in there wouldn't that be great.

Like that AK74 mag 12 pack there was a while back for $29 that had Russian plums mixed in with Bulgarian browns and blacks.

Wishful thinking.

They command a premium over standard mags. They are usually run about $30 or more. Early mags.

I just received some of the new Bulgarian's I bought from Copes. They're great! New, sealed in plastic, they're definitely new, they look too good to stick in an AK. :banana:

I didn't spend the $1 extra to try any Hungarians. I think Copes sold out of those right after Obama got elected.

I managed to score 8 mags for my VZ-58 folder project on Gunbroker for $10 each.

Rapid Fire, are they ORF still?, has Plum Russian AK74 mags on their site for about $22 I think. They had a 4 pack of 45rnd bakelites for $220 as well last time I visited. Not sure if they really have them. I'll find out on payday.:bear_thumb:

I'll have to try some of these cheap mags. Worst case scenario I refinish the undented ones and sell them once they're banned again.

Cheap mags from Copes are ALL GONE. They sold out yesterday.

Well there goes my idea of placing a bigger order today. I will just be happy that I got my order of 25 in before they ran out.

You might give them a call in a few days or maybe next week. Cope's said:

We have some that was dented or rusted so bad that the follower would not move. We did not want to over sale. If we have any left over we will post them back up for sale on the forum. We had orders for 500, 600, 1000 at a time. Average sale was 1200 plus a day in orders.
